Beautiful Easter Weekend

Friday the weather was fabulous!  So we took the kids to the park and walked the track around!  It was a great day for some exercise!

 Jayden and Jaron enjoyed playing on the equipment at the park too!  Janea and Dan walked while the boys played and then we all walked together!

 Saturday we went to my parents house and dyed Easter eggs!  Jayden loved it and we had fun hanging out with my parents and sister!  

 Sunday we enjoyed a wonderful morning at church and then the family came over for Easter dinner and birthday cake as Jayden turns 2 very soon!  I didn't get pics today since I didn't have sufficient memory!  Mom took a bunch and as soon as I get them I will add them to the post!

Very thankful for a time of family fun and refreshment!

2 Easters in 1 Year

How blessed we were to get to celebrate Easter twice since Jayden was born! Last Easter he was able to fit in the basket this year he got to enjoy all the fun!

What? Really?? Am I that Late???

So I decided to take a peek here on the old blog and realized that I haven't posted anything in the month of April...lots has happened and I have recorded nothing....nada, not a letter, comma or anything...so if anyone is still reading this....here's a little bit going on with us.

Saw the HUNGER GAMES movie and I was very pleased with it...sat in the 2nd row and got a neck cramp but other than that I really enjoyed the movie.

Easter Weekend...Birthday weekend.  My sister and Jayden share a birthday and so we had a super busy weekend.  Friday we had the day off for Good Friday and so my mother, Janea, Jayden and I went to get her a dress for the Spring Masquerade Banquet that Calvary was having...then we went back to Grandma's to dye eggs.  Saturday the big kids got to go to the Kaufmen Center and see Narnia the Musical and then everyone came over to my house to celebrate Jayden's and Wendy's birthdays.  Complete with cake, icecream and a yummy bbq dinner!  Then on Sunday the whole family was over again to celebrate that Christ is Risen!  It was a  busy and full weekend.

Jayden is now one and not quite walking.  He's still rather chicken to try and take steps but we are making progress as he did walk 3 or 4 last night to get to his water table.  My parents got him this AWESOME water table for his birthday and since it's still too cold for waterplay we have legos and other toys in it and it's a great height for him to pull up on and work in.  He also got 2 toy cell phones that he really enjoys playing with.

I have lots of pictures but I am currently not on my personal computer so I will have to wait on them.

Well, that's a little bit going on with us...hopefully I will post sooner rather than later...

My Sweet Boy

My sister came to visit this weekend for Easter.  The kiddos and I went over to Grandma's house a couple of times this weekend and we took pictures of the baby...such a sweet boy!

Easter Eggs

We went to Grandma's House Today! We spent the morning dyeing Easter Eggs! We had so much fun! Thank you Grandma for letting us come and hang out at your house and have a good time together!

We used Christmas Mugs to dye our eggs.!

Happy Easter

Easter is my favorite Holiday. It is important, it is paramount, without it my faith is meaningless. So today I will celebrate the Resurrection of my Savior. I will celebrate the empty tomb. I will celebrate the fact that my God is not Dead! I have hope! I have life! I have a future in eternity with Him and that puts a smile on my face!

Today my younger sister turns 29...one year away from the big 30~! HA HA!

My mom and I are going to take the kiddos with us as we head for Omaha. A short trip to celebrate with Wendy her last birthday in her 20's...boy are we old...

So that's where we are headed...hope you all have a good GOOD FRIDAY as we celebrate the darkest day in history where forgiveness was met for all.

Saturday Easter Fun

Today we went over to Grandma's and Grandpa's to paint Easter eggs. We also spent some time making some very yummy and pretty easter candy!

Good Friday Fun!

Easter is one of my favorite holidays because of the great meaning that it holds and how pivotal it is to my Salvation. Last year I unfortunately didn't get Good Friday off of work since I teach at a private but non-Christian school. Well this year, Spring Break and Good Friday coincide so I got to have today off! YEAH!

My mom and I and the kiddos went shopping today. Janea got 2 new dresses(1 for Spring, one for Sunday) new sandals(and it may snow on Sunday) 1 top( on clearance for a 1.60...couldn't resist) and 2 new pairs of jeans! I got 2 new blouses, a new necklace and earrings and a snazzy new purse...Dan owed me something for my birthday! Jaron got new sneakers and a new Spiderman shirt...and my mom got some stuff too. So today we shopped til we dropped and tomorrow we will get to dye Easter eggs, and make Easter candy....a Spry/Jonathan family tradition!

All in all a great way to celebrate new Life in Christ as well as the beauty of Spring...tonight is our church's Tennebrae service a great way to refocus on the pain and suffering of Christ on the cross for our sins. I hopefully will get to go but it doesn't start until 8:00 tonight, so it depends on how Dan is feeling and the kiddos.
