Teaching makes a difference...

that's what I am reminding myself today. I am feeling really tired so teaching isn't very fun today. I am also trying to determine the path for each child to follow for the school year. We do individualized math and reading and finding the starting point is always a challenge. All in all it will be a good year but I need more sleep than I am getting!

We have all our furniture moved into the new house. So I just have to finish packing and then we can be completely moved out of our old house! HOORAY!!! Life is moving along way too fast but as Larry the Cable Guy say's ya gotta"GitERDONE!'

Janea and Jaron

My kiddos are back to school. It is a challenge to have them at my school! Janea is in my class and wants me to push her but isn't afraid to tell me when she doesn't like something. My son I have to avoid his class until he gets the routine under control. He seems to like his classes so far and I am hopeful that we will excell this year! Ms. Kim and Ms. Michelle are very patient with him and I am excited to see how far he can go!

Day 2 and counting

So today is the second day of school. I think it is going to be a really good year. My class is a good mix of boys and girls and since there are only 7 it makes things a little easier and harder at the same time. Our school does individualized education and right now I am determining where everyone is academically so I can make each student plan for the year. All in all a lot of work but we reap good rewards. I am looking forward to seeing how the whole school year goes!

Moving, moving, moving...

Well, we are now officially living in the house in Peculiar. Unfortunately everything is still in boxes and we still have to move stuff from 2 rooms at the Belton House. Also I am back to work full time so that leaves evenings and weekends. Boy does it seem like I could use about 4 hours more in the day! Then maybe I would feel like I am accomplishing something! School starts in a day and a half!

Today's the Day...

We close on the house today. Then its all about moving! I am feeling so overwhelmed right now that I feel like I am drowning! We had big plans to get stuff done this weekend and we accomplished--NOTHING!!!--My darling husband got sick and since he is a man that means that it is the end of the world as we know it! I get really frustrated when he gets sick simply because whenever I get sick I don't get any help or breaks since he works nights. He also seems to think that my family should just step in and take over till I feel better--but my folks both work and have their own lives so they do help but I am not expecting them to come and rescue me when I don't feel good. That being said, I get really irritated with him when he is sick and that is something that I need to work on but at the same time I wonder, couldn't he just toughen up a little?

So this week I have to get more done on my classroom, start moving into the new house and survive the heat! It's so stinking hot here in MISSOURI! Today we are to have a heat index of 111! That's too hot! Well, that's today will post more on the whole move later!

One week to go

We will be closing on the new house on the 13th so that is One week away. I have so much to do until then and I am feeling a little bit overwhelmed by it all. I would so love to be able to snap my fingers like Mary Poppins and having boxes pack themselves! Or to snap my fingers in my classroom and have the bulletin boards finish themselves! So if you are good at packing boxes or good at decorating classrooms please give me a call cuz I could use the help!

PLEASE PRAY!!!!!

I don't really know who all reads this (if anyone does) but if you do read it will you please pray for me today. We are moving in a little over one week and I am no where near where I need to be in the house or at school. I go back the week that we are moving. My boss is being gracious and said that I only need to come for meetings provided my room is ready ahead of time. So I have basically 10 days to get everything done. Plus my back is hurting right now so I am feeling rather uninspired to get anything done at all! I need supernatural help and I know that prayer is a fantastic thing so would you please pray for me today!
