The Topeka Zoo

Today was a field trip day! Long day for me but even longer for another teacher who was in charge of planning. My class, and the Kindergarten-1st grades plus 5 family members and 3 younger siblings all headed for the Topeka Zoo. A nice zoo, small yet fun, to study biomes. The rainforest there is quite cool and we got to see the joy of animals in Springtime.! Yes, the attracting a mate, the mating, and so forth! Lots of fun trying to explain that one! Then we spent the afternoon at the park--all in all a good day for a field trip even though the morning started cold, it warmed up nicely! I will post some pictures soon!
